This camera is a Goerz Anschuetz
presscamera. It was manufacured around 1898 according to the
manufacturing date I found in the camera. In one of the pictures is the
shutter cloth which has the name of the shutter inventor on it. At
least the earlier cameras have this text, but I'm not sure if the late
models have it. In its time this camera was a very common camera among
pressphotographers. It was one of the first cameras to be seriously
considered for handheld photography of fast moving objects.
